Sun Rubber Company's African American Tod-L-Tyke manufactured in 1950. He is all rubber with a one-piece body, painted features and molded hair. His back is marked copyright Ruth E. Newton the Sun Rubber Company. He is eight inches tall. He was used in Yvonne Ellis' book, Collectible African American Dolls, published by Collector Books in 2008, see photos.
